On a happier note::: 3 University of Lagos (UNILAG) students, have actually won the Google Apps Developer Challenge for the Enterprise/Small Business Solutions group in sub-Saharan Africa.
The students: Bolutife Ogunsola, Michael Adeyeri and Willie Aniebiet, created the Form + application software; a user interface that creates application by merely dragging and going down components. The person could create formsРsuch as program vitae (CV) or r̩sum̩ submission forms for companies and coursework entry web page for lecturers.
Emeka Afigbo, Program Manager, Google, stated: “Our expectation is that this stimulates a lot more young Nigerian programmers to create apps that transform the means we live in Nigeria and Africa at sizable.”
The winners were compensated with Chromebooks as well as $ 20,000. They also won a grant worth $ 18,000 for their college’s department.
